| Battlefield Map: The Battle of Shrewsbury 21 July 1403

| Here we can be reasonably certain of the site of the battle
because St Mary Magdalene was built in 1408 - well within living memory.
The plan shows the position of each army during the morning of 21st July.
Only in the afternoon did each advance to the attack.
Probably duration 2-3 hours. Casualties heavy on both sides. |
