| First stage - early morning 14th April at 0500. The armies are not properly aligned. If the Yorkist axis of attack was due north but a few degrees east, the overlap of Oxford's or Hasting's divisions and Gloucester's and Exeter's would have been increased. Oxford did not wait; he attached Hastings and drove him in a rout from the field. He pressed at least as far as Barnet. | ||
